Do you feel a bit exasperated when you see your teen
dragging their feet and lacking that motivation to tackle the day?
Take a deep breath and remember, it's not always
a choice or a personality flaw.
Our teens are going through a lot of changes,
both physically and mentally, and this can
sap their energy and leave them feeling drained.
One sneaky culprit could be the lack of sleep. Our adolescents need
at least 8-10 hours of sleep to feel refreshed and energised.
So, if they're not getting enough , they might feel sluggish and unproductive.
Another suspect could be their love of tech. Too much screen time can disrupt
their sleep and mood.
And don't forget about the pressure of school and extracurricular activities, (if they partake)! If they're cramming too much into their schedules, they might feel overwhelmed and burnt out. So, remind them to take breaks and prioritise their tasks.
Most importantly, approach them with empathy and understanding.
Together, you can get to the root cause of their laziness and help them
build healthy habits and a positive outlook on their goals.
You‘ve got this!
